Cohiba Esplendidos Cuban Cigars
- Size: 7 x 47
- Strength: Medium-Full
Part of the original six sizes of the Linea Clasica, Cohiba’s first line made available to the public back in 1982. The leaves for Cohibas are the “selection of the selection” from the 5 finest Vegas de Primera (first class fields) in the Vuelta Abajo region. These leaves undergo an additional fermentation in barrels. This unique process produces a special aroma and flavour you will only find in a Cohiba. Made using the traditional Tripa Larga, Totalmente a Mano – long filler, totally hand made – technique.

A incredible Cigar when you can get them. Lots of fakes in the Islands. Fidel’s favourite. Very sought after. Not too strong. A great taste that lingers. The best of the best so I have heard. No argument here from me. Even the box is a classic and can be put to use for many things like storing jewellery.

A friend brought some back from Cuba. I loved them so much I’d be smoking them at 6am before breakfast! Best cigar I’ve ever had. Wish they were more reasonably priced.

One of my favorite Cohiba.

Just back from 2 weeks in Cuba. I was stunned to find that there was a cigar shortage. Last year the hurricane, and the year before a crop blight wiped out most of the tobacco. Found some good ones, but only a small selection and in small quantities. The Esplendidos were perfection. Taste was sublime, burn perfect, and ultra smooth. Paid $19 Cdn each, which is about 30% higher than my last visit in 2019.
