About AJ Fernandez Cigars
AJ’s first collaboration with his Father Ismael is a nod to the discovery of tobacco by Christopher Columbus and its introduction to the rest of the world in 1492.
Raised in Cuba and steeped in the rich tradition of Fernandez cigar legacy, AJ Fernandez produces unparalleled premium cigars in Esteli, Nicaragua. Ensuring superior quality, the day-to-day operations at Tabacalera AJ Fernandez are managed under the watchful eye of AJ himself.
Through a fusion of inherited technique and learned patience, Fernandez’ long filler tobaccos are grown from prized seeds which are proprietary only to the Fernandez family. Perhaps the most essential quality of the AJ Fernandez line of cigars is the perspective and motivation of AJ, as well as the history of the Fernandez family.

This is quite a tasty cigar. I would say more on the medium-full spectrum, closer to full , in terms of both body and strength.
This cigar is definitely a complex flavour bomb! So many flavours dancing on my pallette…. from dark cacao, espresso, earthy notes, dried vintage wood, orange peel, leather, and a backgroud black pepper seasoning the whole thing. With a billowing and creamy smoke output, this is a great finish to a delicious steak meal.
What I like is that I never got an in-your-face pepper-spicy blast in your face, though it’s there and blends in well with the other flavours. And what a beautiful cigar band.

Construction is flawless. Hey its a AJ. Full spicy flavor. Full strength, its a beauty. The ash would fall off easily is the only drawback, if that bothers you.
