New World Puro Especial Toro stands out as a Nicaraguan puro built entirely from tobaccos grown on A J Fernandez’s own farms, all aged three to five years for a deeper, more refined profile in a 6 1/2 x 52 format. This Toro uses Nicaraguan Habano Criollo 98 wrapper and Habano binder over Nicaraguan long fillers, delivering a medium to full experience with notes of almonds, earth, dried fruits, sweet caramel and natural tobacco richness. The extra length and classic ring gauge offer a slow, even burn that lets the aged tobaccos gradually unfold, making it an easy choice when you want a New World that emphasizes farm grown character and complexity over sheer strength.

JUST POOR CONSTRUCTION FROM ANOTHER CIGAR! WOULD NOT BURN PROPERLY, HORRIBLE RESTRICTIVE DRAW DEFINITELY HAD A TWIST IN THE FOOT NEEDING CONSTANT TOUCH UPS. I WAS READY TO TOSS IT IN THE FIRE AT HALFWAY POINT DUE TO THE HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE BUT ALL OF A SUDDEN IT GOT THROUGH THE TWIST AND TROUBLE AREA AND STARTED BURNING REASONABLY WELL. FROM THAT POINT ON TO THE NUB IT WAS QUITE NICE AND SMOOTH, NOT EXHIBITING MUCH FOR FLAVORS BESIDES A LEATHERY TASTE WITH A HINT OF PEPPER. MY SUMMARY WOULD BE HORRIBLE DRAW, NEXT TO NO FLAVORS,CONSTANT TOUCH UPS GETS A FAIL FOR $16 THE SHEER FRUSTRATION IT CAUSED WAS NOT WORTH IT.

Very pleasantly surprised by this cigar, even though various online reviews were positive. Nice dark unsweetened chocolate from the first puff, later delivering a sweet spice, pepper on the retrohale, developing into a sweeter, earthy cocoa. Nice slow burn, beautifully constructed cigar.
