Ahh… Bless them for bringing back Banana Backwoods!
Most people probably won’t agree with me on this but I, for one, prefer the taste of a little sweetness on my Backwoods. I have smoked Backwoods for nearly 30 years now. I have seen and tried every flavour out there. When they canceled Banana the first time around, it was a tough pill to swallow for me. I had always really enjoyed them over the years so when they decided to bring them back, it was definitely something I was very excited about. I’m not completely certain if the flavour is the same as it was before, as it had been MANY years since I have had the privilege of sparking one of these up. I’m leaning toward a slight difference in flavour between old Backwoods Banana and the new, or rejuvenated, Backwoods Banana. What I absolutely can confirm though is that these Backwoods are undeniably fantastic!
These cigars have everything you could possibly want in a flavoured cigarillo. Firstly, I am a huge fan of the consistency in the wrapper. They seem to all be lighter in colour, which I believe, adds to a much better smoke and a far better taste. When you open the package, the smell of fresh, sweet banana hits you and your mouth instantly begins to water. The anticipation is only bettered by the first haul you take off of these well rolled cigars. Never too tight, these cigars light easily and stay lit longer than other flavours do. They are beautifully aromatic, taste incredible, and are worth paying a little more to get. These, and Honey Berry, are the two best Backwoods flavours on the market and will continue to be my 1A and 1B when I order. I’m also happy that the price dropped a little on these as $22.00+ for a pack, I felt, was just too steep. If the price per carton ever gets into the neighbourhood that the Honey Berry is in, I’ll be ordering cartons of each, EVERY time.
If you’re looking for a smooth, mild, incredible tasting cigar that smokes evenly and true, then you’ve found exactly what you’re looking for… These cigars are just that damn good!

Shared these with my wife and we both enjoyed the flavors of banana and toasted marshmallows with a strong coffee. Sweetened tip isn’t overpowering and lasts for most of this machine-made cigar. Worth the purchase!

Surprisingly good little cigars for the price. I enjoyed the taste and it paired nicely with rum. Will buy again.
