Casa Turrent 1942 Torpedo is a box pressed Mexican cigar from the Casa Turrent 1942 series, a 5 1/2 x 50 torpedo shape.
It comes from the same company that brought you Te Amo cigars, and from the oldest and largest grower in Mexico. Alberto and Alejandro Turrent, owners of Nueva Matacapan de Tabacos, are the first family of Mexico’s cigar industry, and they are also the largest grower of cigar tobacco in the country.
The wrapper is a Mexican Negro San Andrés colorado leaf, the binder is Mexican Criollo, and the filler is Mexican. The San Andrés maduro leaf they grow outside of Veracruz is world renowned for its quality, and many of America’s most popular premium cigar brands use their tobaccos. The 1942 series is made at the Casa Turrent factory in Mexico, in the same box pressed sizes as the 1901 series. Cigar Aficionado reviewers describe malty chocolate with toast, light cedar, minerals and black tea.

Yet another superb cigar from Casa Turrent. Excellent draw and smoke production. The San Andres wrapper really comes through with it’s excellent flavour. Great sticks from Casa Turrent.

Perfect box but for the experienced smoker who can appreciate the cigar for everything it is! Tons of thick smoke production and unique flavour!

Indeed a unique flavour! not to mention the sweetness on your lips provided by this incredible wrapper, combined with a thick smoke, an easy draw and even burn, that stick is definitely a deal you can’t miss. Pair it with a Buffalo Trace for a great balance. I would call it a luxurious daily stick for a more than decent price. Will buy again 100%
