I was hesitant at first when I saw these but said to myself “There’s no way the chief would put his name on a cigar that isn’t good.” The reality is, they’re good. The first 1/8th” is a bit harsh – the first 3 puffs or so. But from there to the nub it is smooth, cedar, light earth, slight vegetable like green pepper. It’s got a smooth mouthfeel and is medium to light bodied and a great cigar.

Ok cigar for the price. I’ve smoked a few from the bundle .only complaints are the wrapper seems to fall apart half way through. The draw is average as well. Have to keep lighting in to continue to smoke

I enjoyed the one I bought; Mild taste and good draw. The biggest problem that a few others mentioned is that the burn is very uneven, and it canoed several times even with relighting. You can probably find something better for a similar price; I won’t buy one again for that reason.

Found these cigars great for just an everyday smoke. A couple did burn slightly uneven but nothing that bothered me as much as some others have stated. Great draw in my opinion, a really great cigar to share with friends that are newer and less experienced in cigars. Ordering more asap.

This cigar really surprised me. Probably the best discount priced cigar i have ever had. The first few puffs were harsh but after that it was very smooth all the way thru. The flavor consisted of earthy cedar with a peppery finish. Out of a bundle of 5 one did split in half and for that i knock off one star. With that being said i tip my hat to Cigar Chief for this excellent cigar and look forward to keeping stock of these in my humidor.

Caveat, I am smoking these Cigar Chief branded cigars after they have been aging in my humidor for over 1 year. I purchased a bundle of 25 Cigar Chief robustos back in 2021. The markings on the band say “Granada” and “Nicaragua”. These might not be the same ones sold today.
I tried smoking one of them when they first arrived, and was disappointed. The draw was good, but they tunneled and didn’t smoke properly. The taste was only so-so. Therefore I relegated them to the bottom of my humidor, thinking that they would be my emergency smokes, in case I had nothing else.
Well, on a whim, I recently decided to try one, after 1 year of aging, and I can say that these smokes are pretty damn good. The burn is excellent, on par with any name brand cigar, and the taste is also very good.
I am giving a 5 star rating, provided that these cigars be aged before smoking. I think that if you let them rest for a year or so, these cigars are on par with many name brand smokes, and for the price are hard to beat.

Didn’t have any burn issues. Stored at 65%RH for 2 weeks, dry boxed for 24 hours. Wonderful burn, nice ash, good smoke. Mild flavors of wood, slight spice and a nice toastiness. Wouldn’t buy an entire box, but a couple to round out an order works fine.

I had zero issues with uneven burn like some of the other comments, and have smoked at least 20 of them after letting them age in the humidor for a few weeks.

Very good cigar for what your paying. I had no issues with these, very even burn, right down to the nub. Mild, nice smoke, great draw, might of been some folk got a bad batch. Recommended for an everyday casual puff!

This was a fantastic cigar! I’ve had 2 out the 3 I bought so far and both burned beautifully and tasted delicious with nice creamy notes emerging in the last half of the cigar. This cigar competes with cigars significantly more expensive. If the company can maintain this quality the Cigar Chief brand will be my go to brand for cigars going forward.

Greater cigar. The first 3rd tasted like cidar wood with a hint of toast. The second third had a leather undertone and a hint of fresh olives. The last thirds took me straight to the Mediterranean and it’s abundance of green fresh olive oil while enjoying ceder wood in the background. I had to slow down a bit between puffs so I don’t overstep my boundaries lest the taste gets bitter. The burn was self correcting along the way like a self driving vehicle. With aging this cigar, the ride to heaven will be alot smoother and enjoyable.

Got three of these as a gift. Had the first one shortly after receiving it and it wasn’t great. So, I let the other rest for 3-4 months with our cello to speed age and it was way better but… draw issue with a hard filler spot needed a draw tool to help which unfortunately cracked the wrapper. Flavour was good once it opened up, but I’m going to let that third one rest a bit more before I give it another go. Still recommend for the price. Just let these sticks age a bit more to develop the flavour
