Foundation Charter Oak Connecticut Broadleaf Rothschild
- Size: 4 1/2 x 50
- Strength: Medium-Full
A homage to the rich history of Connecticut tobacco. Charter Oak Ct Broadleaf pays tribute to Melillo’s grandfather who, while earning a modest salary working for the Winchester Repeating Arms factory after WWII, smoked exclusively Connecticut Broadleaf cigars.
The cigar has a Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro wrapper, a Habano Nicaraguan binder, and an all Nicaraguan filler. The cigar has notes of rich earth, natural sweetness with a medium to full smoking experience.

A well constructed cigar with a nice draw that produces lots of smoke with an even burn and solid hash. I paired it with a black coffee and lit it up with a strip of cedar wood. The foot of the cigar is sealed with the wrapper so the first draw was intense as the rest of the cigar got milder with a consistent sweet cedar notes troughout and a surprising retrohale.
