To start off, I’ve had the lotus I and II and they’re both pretty good cigars. They were smooth but had some similar issues to this one but they weren’t as bad. The draw on this is really tough, it was like trying to drink a blizzard through a straw. Very tightly rolled and hard to stay lit. The flavour is good tho, very very strong full body, lots of spice and pepper throughout the whole smoke.

I agree with the previous review these mini lotus cigars were very very tight to the point I was rolling tobacco out of the cigar just to get a draw but having smoked them quite a few times since, because I really love the taste of these things especially the mini ones because as for mentioned by Mrkachink, “if that is his real name” in the previous review they are very strong and I find that better suited to a smaller cigar, I also am more suited to a lighter cigar as well because I do inhale and doesn’t everybody? … I find the tobacco a bit different from any cigar I have smoked before actually and I’m having a very difficult time trying to describe it which is rare for me so bare with me .. like a Jäegermeister or chartreuse very herbal and pepper and maybe a slight date with leather but emphasis on the pepper for certain especially with the larger varieties of cigars by lotus, I almost found it too much for my pallet and throat on the draw with the bigger cigars but that may just be personal preference because as I said, I’m not much for stronger cigars but I do prefer the black iron variation of the Lotus Mini No.ll which is the stronger of the two variants, apparently there is a yellow one as well but if it’s lighter yet then I’m fine with sticking with the black iron. I also and I know it sounds sacrilege do not keep this particular tin or brand of cigars even the larger ones in my humidor or I take them out some time before enjoying them because depending on your climate were you live, which it is usually dry here or usually well bellow that of 68% RH about what your humidor would be, the cigar seems to burn better and is not so tight and swelled with moisture. I dealt with the problem a few times but kept coming back for the flavour of these things … I took the time to write this review because these truly are some of, if not my favourite cigarillos I have had pleasure of sampling to date and I thank cigar chief for that being possible because no way in hell would I pay or be able to afford the extra duty our government inflicts upon our citizens and tobacco farmers. I only gave 4 stars because of the time it took me to figure out they burn much better if the relative humidity is lower and for the slightly overpowering pepper taste I get from the larger cigar varieties of this brand and they did have some trouble burning and staying lit as well but overall I love them .. thanks cigar chief!
