About Montecristo Cigars
Montecristo’s perfectly balanced blends are created exclusively with select filler and binder leaves from the Vuelta Abajo zone, home of the finest tobaccos in the world. They offer a distinguished aroma and appeal equally to new and experienced smokers. Made using the Tripa Larga, Totalmente a Mano – long filler, totally by hand – technique.
Montecristo is the best known and probably the most appreciated brand of Habanos throughout the world. It forms the benchmark for many Habanos smokers against which other brands are judged.
The name comes from the hero of Alexandre Dumas’ famous novel ‘The Count of Montecristo’, which was a firm favourite when read by the Lector to the Torcedores (cigar makers) at the factory where it was founded in 1935.

A true Cuban classic, everyone should at least have one or more Montecristo No. 2’s in their humidor. Better put it on fire with a glass of old single mild scotch.Do it, boys!!!

Horrible absolutely horrible…didn’t expect to pay 35 dollars for a headache. So tightly rolled tobacco was super stale. I had to throw it out after 1/3 to avoid further brain trauma. Labor Day weekend has quickly been ruined. Nice quality control 👍

Was okay. Didn’t enjoy much. I guess I had the one that fail the quality control draw was terrible at various stages. But when it is not the cases the experience was enjoyable.

What a waste of money. Not sure I will order Cubans anymore. Have several brands and they are all plagued with horrible quality control. Bad wrapping, bad draw, and bad burn. The Cubans think they can charge an arm and a leg and give below average quality. Can’t hold a candle to Nicaraguans. Save your money.

Great cigar all around. Very enjoyable smoke. The only gripe is the cigars construction and uneven burn or at least the one that I had. Nonetheless it’s a great smoke for a special occasion. Will be keeping me eye out for a box when I travel to Cuba.

First #2 in 1992, one of the best tasting and burning cigars ever. Left you on your butt. Great flavour, burn amazing, enjoyable all around. Todays cigar is grass. construction terrible. Throw away at least 7 in the box due to bad burn, plugging. This once great brand has become not worth the money. Go to the dominicans!!! way better smokes.

Things have changed in Cuba big time I don’t think they’re best stuff is being sent to Canada. I had numerous issues with this cigar it went out often and tunneled. The taste was decent but for all the issues that it caused with the burn I would strongly suggest avoiding Monteys completely.

Will be ordering more when I can. Enjoying tonight’s with an Italian Amarone Red but I’m sure it would go with just about any good bevie.
