Romeo Y Julieta Short Churchills Cuban Cigars
- Size: 4 7/8 x 50
- Strength: Medium
Winston Churchill became a devotee of Romeo Y Julieta, following his visit to Havana in 1946. His name has been commemorated by using it to describe the marque’s favorite cigar size – Romeo Y Julieta Churchills. The 21st century has seen the arrival of the Short Churchills back in 2006. A robusto size that had been missing from the range of vitolas.
About Romeo Y Julieta
Romeo Y Julieta’s balanced and aromatic blend of selected filler and binder leaves from the Vuelta Abajo zone make it the classic medium bodied Habano. Made using the Tripa Larga, Totalmente a Mano – long filler, totally made by hand – technique.

Nice and light smoke but very very bad and tuff draw. Barely getting any smoke out of it. Didn’t enjoy the smoke at all.

Smooth, medium smoke. Good draw, even burn. Smoked it to the end.

Amongst the Aristocracy of Gars. Smoking one can make you wish you had the full length Churchill. I Just returned from Cuba with a box, for $6/each. Here $26.

This cigar takes you by surprise! You expect a robusto performance given its size and built, yet you get a mellow and slightly timid draw with every puff. It’s still a RYJ nevertheless, and you’ll be able to enjoy its smoothness to end. I’d have it after dinner if I’m looking for a shorter smoke.
Jason Liddle –
Tight draw, very little smoke output, good flavor though.

In my opinion this is a much better smoke than the Wide Churchill. I find the flavours to be more third dimensional.
A beautiful array of woody, nutty and sweet molasses flavours encompass your palate with a creamy-chewy texture. This closely rivals the original Churchill vitola and is a must have for any connoisseur.
