About a year and a half ago I began working on this blend with the legendary Aganorsa Leaf tobacco farms in Esteli, Nicaragua. It became apparent the factory was seeing signs of a poltergeist. There was a habano wrapper leaf fermentation that was making sounds and excreting a liquid onto the floors of the warehouse. When we touched the mysterious substance, it caused phantom flavors to be called upon by the olfactory senses. For years, they fermented the tobacco, trying their best to relieve the wrapper of its sopping wet texture and its brindle appearance, but this tobacco was haunted. After 2 years of fermentation the wrapper leaf was placed outside during warm months to sun dry. We then took the tobacco and wrapped it around the finest Aganorsa Leaf grown Nicaraguan tobaccos we could find. The result is The Witch. A shape shifting sorcerer of flavor and sensation.
