1928 by Privada Cigar Club (also known as the 1928 “Steamboat”) is a 6 x 52 Toro featuring an ultra‑rare Nicaraguan Maduro wrapper over a double Corojo binder of Jalapa Corojo and vintage Cuban‑seed leaf, with Nicaraguan fillers. Blended by Brian Desind and produced as a limited, small‑batch release, it is positioned as a rich, nostalgic homage cigar with bold, full flavour for members and collectors.
The profile is described as full bodied and flavour dense, with oily, chewy smoke delivering layers of cocoa, coffee, earth, charred wood, toasted nuts, black pepper and baking spice, alongside occasional dried fruit sweetness. Retrohales bring powerful black pepper, ginger spice, diesel and roasted nuts, so it is not recommended on an empty stomach and is aimed at smokers who enjoy an intense, complex experience. Construction notes highlight an oily, dark wrapper, firm draw with very good smoke output, and a mostly steady burn that may show some waviness but rarely needs touch‑ups.
