I took a huge risk creating the MAXX line. At the time, traditional, smaller ring gauge cigars were en vogue. As an innovator, I wanted to buck the trend. My challenge was to create a line of large cigars with maximum flavor and satisfaction at a great value. For MAXX to be a success, the flavor needed to wow the palate. By using tobaccos from five different countries in a large format cigar, I was able to create balance, sweetness and complexity. Sometimes, bigger is better. – Alan Rubin, Alec Bradley Cigars

One of the best cigars I’ve ever had. However, would not recommend this for a beginner or novice smoker. This maybe described as a medium blend/strength, and this is for someone who wants an authentic tobacco full flavour experience. I have smoked this approximately for a few years. I would highly recommend this cigar for cellaring purposes. I have cellared this exact cigars for 2 years and it is still very good. The aging process is amazing. I still have about 10 cigars aging for 5 years and had one the other day and was amazed on how the tobacco has evolved and maintained both complexity and smoothness. It ages really well.
Highly recommend for those who want a cigar that is enjoyable and has the time to smoke this in entirety.
The first half is peppery and delicious, the second half the smoother with a slight leather finish, the last half has a sweetness with earthy and woods taste. The last quarter is peppery and smooth. A full flavour all the way through. I hope this helps.

Just picked one of these up on Canada Day, for the festivities, and I was extremely pleased with the cigar. It burnt smoothly throughout, and delivered the flavour profile, as listed. I would definitely recommend, and I’d buy them, again. Maybe even a box!
