Don Tomas Robusto Clasico Cigars
- Size: 5 1/2 x 50
- Strength: Medium-Full
As one of the best-known brands to hail from Honduras, Don Tomás Clásico embodies the time-honored Honduran tradition of cigar making. Surprisingly value priced, these outstanding cigars were named to Cigar Aficionado’s Top 25 list (2006) and were hailed as a “Best Buy” in Cigar Insider. Flawlessly constructed of well-aged tobaccos, Don Tomás Clásico cigars are the ideal indulgence for the smoker who seeks rich taste at an accessible price.

This is a nice looking cigar. Predominantly vein free. The wrapper has a chocolate scent. The cold draw is free. The lite draw is the same with billows of white smoke with every puff. An even burn with medium complexity. The primary flavours are cedar wood, leather, and white pepper with secondary flavours of cocoa, black currant, eggshell with a hint of pineapple during the second third. A very nice smoke lasting over an hour. I will buy this again.

great cigar for price. very much enjoyed

Very good value. Tight draw but it opened up in the second half. Nice even burn with smoke and flavour improved with retrohale becoming milder and fuller until the end.

Not a cigar expert by any means but this my fourth or fifth time I’ve purchased this Don Tomás Clásico cigar, its actually growing on me. For the price, its a good everyday inexpensive cigar. I know there are better but no complaints with this cigar…

2nd purchase! This time my cigars arrived two days sooner than 1st order. Called Friday morning, and received my cigars in the middle of the day Tuesday. Excellent, considering I live in Edmonton Alberta. To reiterate, Cigar Chief Will be getting 100% of my cigar dollars. PS cigars are delicious!

Exceptional value, smooth tasty flavors, nutty, sweetness on the retrohale, with hints of chocolate and a small amount of pepper and spice. Very good construction and performance. Probably one of the best ‘budget’ cigars out there. A box of these for less than $200 in Canada from the Chief is well worth it. The Presidente version is also great.

Simply an excellent cigar. Full flavor & aroma without the harshness. Very well constructed.

Bitter and rough

Terrible draw and construction. Wrapper started unfolding after cutting. Draw was very snug until the last third.
The initial bitterness stuck in through the entire smoking session. Other flavors i got were just a tiny bit of spice.
I’m sure there were other flavors as well but i just couldn’t stop focusing on that awful bitterness.
It wasn’t a harsh bitterness, the cigar itself is not too strong and i would say it has a medium- body. I can only describe it as a green tea kind of bitterness.
Smoke output was subpar as well. Not a pleasant experience.

This could be a 5 star cigar if it was not for the tight draw!
This is a medium flavor cigar with a mellow sweet flavor when you just want a relaxed smoke.
The only drawback is the tight draw. Maybe it was that one cigar? The spice will comes at the end, spicy but still mellow. I will try another one and see

Very nice cigar. I would consider it light to medium. Something everyone can smoke and enjoy. Good draw, lots of smoke. Burns extremely well and even, nice Ash as well. Taste develops and comes in towards the end of the first third. I only gave it 4 stars due to personal taste as I prefer cigars on the stronger side. If you’re looking for something light or you’re just starting out, I recommend this cigar.

Well constructed medium light cigar with white pepper spice opening into leathery tones, and slightly sweet finish. For me, a too peppery smoke throughout, for others, maybe not. I’d give it a solid 7/10 on a numbered scale.

Very full mouth feel, definitely a medium strength cigar, burned very even and had a great taste. A great pick
