Handcrafted in the Dominican Republic, this medium to full bodied cigar features a dark Ecuadorian Sun Grown wrapper over aged Dominican binder and long filler tobaccos grown at Chateau de la Fuente.
The nutrient rich Ecuadorian Sun Grown wrapper gives the blend its darker colour and a refined profile of cedar, cocoa, espresso and sweet spice. Aged Dominican tobaccos provide a balanced core of roasted nuts, leather, earth and natural sweetness, while the cedar sleeve lends an additional aromatic wood character during aging. The compact 50 ring gauge creates a concentrated smoke with an even burn and a smooth, satisfying texture.
The cigar opens with cedar, black pepper and toasted wood before developing cocoa, roasted almond, espresso and leather. Notes of licorice, anise, honey and marshmallow emerge through the middle, followed by a warm finish of charred oak, dark chocolate, earth and lingering spice. Arturo Fuente Chateau Fuente Sun Grown pairs well with espresso, aged rum, bourbon, a brown ale or a medium bodied single malt Scotch whisky.
