Handcrafted in the Dominican Republic, this medium bodied 5 x 50 Robusto uses aged Dominican binder and long filler tobaccos beneath a naturally sweet, toothy Cameroon wrapper.
The Cameroon wrapper creates an aromatic foundation of cedar, roasted nuts, cocoa and soft baking spice. Aged Dominican tobaccos add a creamy core of oakwood, coffee bean, leather and earth, balancing the cigar’s natural sweetness with refined depth. The traditional Robusto format concentrates the blend into a satisfying, balanced smoke with excellent draw and dense, aromatic texture.
The cigar opens with cedar, toasted almond and mild black pepper before developing coffee, cocoa, leather and sweet oak. Cinnamon, dried orange and a touch of dark fruit emerge through the middle, while the finish remains smooth with chestnut, espresso, earth and lingering natural sweetness. As always with a Fuente, burn was perfect with no issues. My palate isn’t as refined as some, so I can only describe this as unique compared to the other Fuentes I usually smoke. Id call it a mild to medium with great aromas, had a flavour of sugar cookie to me. Reminded me of the selecion no. 1 privada natural in a bigger ring gauge. Great cigar.
