Arturo Fuente Maduro Chateau Fuente is a medium-bodied 4.5 x 50 Rothschild handcrafted in the Dominican Republic at Tabacalera A. Fuente. A dark U.S. Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro wrapper surrounds aged Dominican binder and long fillers, creating a classic, smooth Maduro with richness, sweetness, and refined Dominican balance.
The Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper establishes a dark, naturally sweet foundation with notes of cocoa, coffee, molasses, and earth. Aged Dominican tobaccos provide a smooth, cedar-forward core, adding leather, toasted almonds, vanilla-like sweetness, and restrained spice that keeps the cigar balanced from first light through the finish.
Expect notes of dark chocolate, cocoa, espresso, cedar, leather, toasted nuts, sweet tobacco, vanilla, earth, molasses, and gentle black pepper. The compact 4.5 x 50 format delivers a focused draw and satisfying smoke production, making it an excellent choice when you want a flavorful premium cigar without a lengthy time commitment.
Each cigar comes wrapped in a distinctive cedar sleeve, a hallmark of the Chateau Fuente collection. The sleeve enhances the cigar’s presentation and complements its woody, aromatic profile.
Arturo Fuente Maduro Chateau Fuente is an excellent choice for fans of traditional Dominican cigars, Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro wrappers, and smokers looking for a smooth, dependable after-dinner smoke with enough depth to reward experienced palates.
Pair it with espresso, dark-roast coffee, bourbon, aged rum, tawny port, or a chocolate-forward stout.

A very enjoyable medium cigar. First third gives nice sweet notes of cedar with a little hint of white pepper that turns into a creamier smoke of toast with nice round notes of woody black coffee.

The construction and presentation is flawless but the Maduro wrapper added a hint of bitterness. I’m sure this would be 5 stars for some but in this case it didn’t please my pallet as much as I’d expect from a Fuente.
