Handcrafted in the Dominican Republic, this medium bodied cigar uses Dominican binder and long filler tobaccos from Fuente farms and comes individually wrapped in a cedar sleeve.
The dark Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper gives the blend its rich profile of cocoa, espresso, sweet cedar and natural tobacco sweetness. Aged Dominican tobaccos add cream, toasted nuts, earth and a restrained spice, creating a smooth Maduro experience that remains balanced rather than overpowering. The cedar sleeve adds an aromatic wood character while helping protect the cigar before it reaches the humidor.
The cigar opens with cocoa, cedar and vanilla before developing espresso, roasted almond, leather and sweet earth. Dark chocolate, molasses and gentle pepper emerge through the middle, followed by a smooth finish of coffee, toasted wood and lingering natural sweetness. A very enjoyable medium cigar. First third gives nice sweet notes of cedar with a little hint of white pepper that turns into a creamier smoke of toast with nice round notes of woody black coffee.

The construction and presentation is flawless but the Maduro wrapper added a hint of bitterness. I’m sure this would be 5 stars for some but in this case it didn’t please my pallet as much as I’d expect from a Fuente.
