About Brick House Cigars
J.C. Newman launched Brick House; a true Cuban puro cigar made with the finest Havana tobaccos. To honor his family and heritage, J.C. modeled the Brick House label after his childhood home – the only brick house in their small, Hungarian village. Locals and visitors would gather at the house nightly to eat, drink, smoke and enjoy each other’s company. But with the Great Depression came the end of the Brick House.Over 80 years later, grandsons Eric and Bobby Newman relaunched Brick House using the most exquisite Nicaraguan tobaccos. Wrapped in a hearty Havana Subido™ leaf, every cigar features a rich blend of Nicaraguan tobaccos carefully hand-rolled by master artisans. Aged in the mountains of Nicaragua, every Brick House cigar is a melding of flawless construction, superb quality and master blend.
An overnight sensation, the Brick House brand has become one of the most talked about cigars on the internet and a best seller nationwide. Awards include the Best Bargain Cigar and a place in the Top 25 Cigars by Cigar Aficionado in addition to numerous blog and website awards.

Very nice cigar. I don’t usually smoke Connecticut sticks, but bought a 5-pack of these on the basis that it placed in the top 25 cigars by Cigar Journal for 2018, and the flavour description seemed something I’d go for. Well, the descriptions were spot on. This cigar had a perfect burn and construction, with a slight sweetness off the first puff that settled into a cedary, toasty creaminess with a butter smooth texture right down into the final third. An hour and 10 minutes of burn time and very enjoyable. Definitely worth a try.

Mike’s review nailed it. I will add that if you wanted to try something along the same line, the Rocky Patel Edge Connecticut is also very good.

For the price, you can’t beat these sticks. Nice, ample smoke; full, smooth taste; even burn (most of the time). Ash tends to fall off easily but this is no biggie. Even if I still have about a dozen in my humidor, I absolutely will reorder another box of 25 for the long run.

I’m relatively new to the cigar world and have no experience smoking. So I bought 2 of these for a Canada Day party based on the reviews and I was not disappointed in the slightest.
I can’t speak much on the flavor profile because I don’t have enough experience to compare it to anything, so to me, it tasted like… a cigar, lol.
But I can speak on the smoking experience, which was fantastic. Nice even burn and easy to get a big puff of it, but it’s also a very mild smoke that’s inviting to a beginner like myself. Although I can’t pick out the individual flavor notes, the overall flavor was very approachable. I was able to smoke it right down to a nub without an overpowering headrush, so the strength is perfect for a newbie.
And with a price point of around $10, I was surprised by the quality.
Overall, this is a very good stick for someone new to cigars, I cannot recommend it enough.
The only problem I have with it is that I enjoyed it so much I wanted it to be longer! 😉
I will 100% be ordering these again in the future.

Cold draw – Punch cut; Sweetness with a hint of citrus. Smell of sweet dry hay on the foot and on the wrapper.
1/3 – On the initial light, this cigar delivers a gentle note of sweet hay with a creamy texture. There is also some young wood note in there with a white pepper light finish. The notes are simple and straight forward; I would say the body and strength is light to medium. Razor sharp burn line with a nice white ash. I took my time and puffed every minute or so to cool down the smoke and to extract as much flavour as possible. Nice retrohale aroma.
2/3 – The dry hay note starts to intensify, and the sweetness tapered off. The body and strength are best at medium. The finish is very short.
3/3 – Same as two thirds but with a bit more baking spices.
Overall – I lit this cigar with a soft flame on a cedar splint. The construction is superb with a razor-sharp burn line throughout my journey. The draw is superb with great construction. This was my second attempt at this cigar and noticed better flavour notes after being in my humidor (70% humidity) for a little over 2 weeks. I only had water throughout this experience, I think it would pair well with coffee or perhaps rum or bourbon; however, the sweetness might be overpowering. Personally, I would give it 89/100. I wish the finish was a bit longer.

If you smoked a maduro the day before, it opens your pallet to this one. Starts spicy, then it’s all mellow pleasure from there. It’s a thin stick, draw has the right tightness. I liked it a heck of a lot. I had at least 8 and can tell you it’s consistent. Don’t know how they do it at this price point but quality was excellent. You are in for a treat. Paired it with a Glenlivet 15.

I really liked this one. Good draw and even burn, nice mellow taste. The original band was under the plain one. Not too expensive, ($11.97 as of writing), I’ll probably buy another in the future.
