Alberto and Alejandro Turrent, owners of Nueva Matacapan de Tabacos S.A. de C.V, are the first family of Mexico’s cigar industry. The father-son team not only makes some of Mexico’s best cigars but are also the largest grower of cigar tobacco in the country. The San Andres Maduro leaf they grow outside of Veracruz is world renowned for its quality, and a variety of their tobaccos are important components in many of America’s most popular premium cigar brands.
To keep the consistency of their flagship Casa Turrent line, Alejandro decided a large factory was not the best place to make the more complex Casa series. In June, Alejandro took his great-grandfather’s house and renovated it to make a boutique factory with 15 people to produce the Casa Turrent series.

Beautiful box press cigar with a slight hay and coco aroma. Fairly firmly packed stick with a nice even draw providing plenty of dry leathery earth smoke. Easy to pull the flavours out with a medium body and a coffee/nutty taste showing up at about a third of the way through – especially on the retrohale.
This is a great cigar an priced very well for what you are getting.

The label is different from the photo. I ordered 5 and have smoked 4 so far and they have all been rolled WAY too tight. I can barely draw through them for the first half. Been poking a hole where I cut and pulling some leaves out of the head. Flavour is good when it draws properly but not worth the effort.

The quality is second to none for a cigar this price! The flavour of the Mexican tobacco is fantastic!! Definitely worth getting a few boxes to keep snd age for the future
