At 6.50 a stick this is an excellent cigar! Construction is surprisingly good with a nice draw and a razor straight burn.
It smokes like its description although the first third is nondescript but after that, settles in and is very enjoyable. I’d rate it medium in strength and would definitely buy again.

Nice tasting stick with a nice price.

Just landed today and had to give these a try. This a good medium strength smoke. Very enjoyable. I think the description is bang on accurate.

Poorly constructed, harsh taste and short filler. Poor representation of the brand

First stick was poorly constructed, but the next was as described. These will benefit from time in a humidor.

Would like to thank Jadrian for suggesting these and, Matthew for prompt delivery. The cigars are very well constructed and, tasting notes as described. I didn’t think Cigar Chief would put their name on anything less. This is why Cigar Chief will continue to get 100% of my Cigar dollars.

At 6.50 a cigar…. a must try. I really enjoy them with a scotch.

Very well crafted & consistent quality throughout the entire bundle. Long filler provides an exceptionally smooth draw with a white ash that stayed on nearly the entire length. Taste is subtle & surprisingly aromatic for a non-Cuban (they have a nice flavor & they don’t stink lol.) Definitely purchasing again.

New sticks for 2024. The maduro are well flavoured and good for the price. I would like to see less sun spots and some are bit tightly rolled but overall great stick for $8.
If this is the your price range you are going to be hard pressed to find a better stick. Good on you cigar chief.

Just bought a sampler and those Maduros are the best. Good smoke, tasty and well builded. Very enjoyable with a beer watching a hockey game.

Decent cigar for the price, construction was great on my first smoke, not a very complex cigar but again for the price point a great cigar.
These need time to age so I suggest 6 months in a hummidor to let them mature, otherwise great sticks to give to that friend who is new to cigars or as a cigar to smoke when not needing a high end or complex cigar.
Tasting notes,
when smoked without aging this is a leathery cigar with a fair amount of bitter and pepper, slight cream with a hint of chocolate and spice,on the first 2/3, retro can be a bit harsh so I suggest smoking with a bourbon to smooth it out
I’ll try another in 6 months and post another review.

First 1/3 (way to much )strong dark coffee, 2/3 smother more balance flavour coffee , stout like (Guinness taste ) like other chief cigars perfect construction draw , to my humble opinion they must aged more ..

Great flavour but of the two I ordered both had poor construction and a terrible smoking experience. Wonky burning, tight spots, one smoked immediately and one aged for 2 months in humi. There are better $8 sticks available

I saw these sticks for the first time a few weeks before I placed my last order and thought that it would be a good thing to try. So I read the info the good folks at Cigar Chief had about it and a few reviews and decided to pull the trigger. I ordered two five packs in my order.
I’m glad I took the chance. These are the best smokes at this price I have ever had. When I received the order I took all ten and put them in the Ammo-dor ;). Two days later I pulled one out to establish a baseline and found it to be a decent cigar. I quite literally figured it was a great value at the price point. visually the cigar has excellent consistency in colour and firmness in the wrap with a great looking filler, the cap was even and well established. I used a medium punch to prep the cigar and noted only the slightest bit of cracking around the punch. The scent of deep earthiness and cocoa filled my nose with a welcoming promise as the dark tobacco finish gave a strong sense of a truly mature cigar. The toast and light was easy and even with a pleasantly easy draw. The first draws provided a full puff of smoke and a promising full flavour rich in the promised darker, richer tones of maduro tobacco with a hint of alspice and chocolate. The texture of the smoke was very smooth for the price point. The cigar lasted a very pleasant 50 minutes with no relighting required. The construction of the cigar led to easy handling of an ash that I tapped out at about 1-1/2″ followed by a purge of a few seconds. As with any cigar, the bitter taste of accumulated oils and heat began after I had smoked two thirds of the cigar. A simple purge again dealt with this handily. I had to give it up after I started to heat up my fingers for the last few minutes of my smoke.
I waited a few weeks before I cracked out the next one and moistened the cap with a few drops of scotch, which made the punch very easy and clean. The cigar was even better than the first. The burn was even and very predictable. The burn on this one was 55-ish minutes as I had to relight due to my own inattention to the cigar. The relight was very easy with the draw being quite steady and easy all the way through the smoke without any appreciable decline in quality for the smoke after relight. Since then I’ve had five more, each one a pleasant cigar, paired with an Islay Scotch it compliments very nicely. Smoking the whisky led to a velvety texture and really presented a few new tones of slight spiciness to be found in both the smoke and the Scotch.
Cigar Chief did a great job in partnering with Escobar to make these sticks. I would love to see this kind of thing in a bigger cigar for those times when I want a longer smoke.

I got a little excited and tried one fresh. Still a tasty stick that burned perfectly. With a little more time in the humidor the flavor will be fantastic! I’ve tried cigars at twice the price that were half as good.

Cheap
Good taste

Bad draw
Construction is hit and miss. You might be forced to throw out one or two stick due to wrapper falling off.
Overall MUCH better than CC habano/Connecticut garbage.

I don’t agree with the majority of reviewers. This might have been the worse cigar I have ever smoked. Bad flavour, bitter taste, inconsistent burn, constant tunneling and a dozen relights per stick. Even at 6.75 per stick, this is a total waste of your hard earned money.
