An Aromatica Dominicana wrapper, reserved for the Royal Release line and used on no other Davidoff cigar, defines Davidoff Royal Release Robusto. It measures 5 1/2 x 55 and is handmade in the Dominican Republic.
Each cigar takes 10 years from seed to finished smoke. The tobacco is harvested separately and cured in a dedicated Royal Barn, then aged for 8 years under controlled temperature, light and humidity. Eight of Davidoff’s finest rollers were chosen to make the cigar.
The wrapper covers an Ecuadorian Habano binder and a filler of aged Dominican tobaccos. The first puff brings smooth oak wood, leather and fresh spice, followed by sweet corn and milk chocolate with a creamy aftertaste.
Davidoff Royal Release Robusto rewards a slow, unhurried smoke, and some smokers report spending more than an hour on one.
