It’s an okay cigar. I usually keep a box around for guests who say they are cigar smokers, but clearly aren’t. The taste is largely burnt tobacco. It’s a good cigar for the novice smoker though. A great price for a passable cigar. It’s a much better option than the bottom of the barrel cigars novices often find themselves buying. When guests have consumed too much alcohol, and demand another cigar, I often just give them a Don Tomas. Even seasoned smokers don’t complain under these conditions.

This stick punches far above it’s weight and price point. I’ve smoked many $30 sticks that don’t hold up to this. I’d ignore Joe’s review (he sounds sciolistic).
The Nicaraguan is creamy, with a tight draw, refined milder spice, tons of smoke, and leaves a nuttier palate finish. Pleasant nose with mild sweetness and a toasty component. I won’t sit here and tell you this is a 5-star cigar, but for $10 you can make the argument it doesn’t get much better than this. Enjoy!
