Escobar Natural Distinguidos Romeo stands out for its intricate double ended torpedo roll that concentrates the Natural blends complexity into a distinctive 5 1/2 x 52 format. Hand crafted in Nicaragua, this figurado uses three vintage sun grown and aged Habano tobaccos grown in rich volcanic soil, wrapped in an Ecuadorian Habano capa to create a smooth drawing medium body with a long, lingering finish. The profile is dominated by vanilla, white pepper, dried fruit, cocoa, and caramel that cling to the palate with dense flavour, supported by persistent notes of leather, earth, and subtle spice that showcase the careful fermentation and aging behind the blend. Modelled after classic Cuban shapes and frequently referred to as a double ended torpedo, Distinguidos Romeo offers versatility in how the head can be cut, allowing smokers to fine tune draw and intensity while enjoying one of Escobars most characterful Natural vitolas.

Picked this up as it was affordable. Had a great night by the fire with my wife and tried to enjoy this. The draw was pretty snug – not horrible, but the burn was uneven. No complexity and ended up with a fairly bland smoke all the way through. Not horrible, but I guess I’d hoped for something better. I’ve smoked a lot of less expensive Nicaraguan cigars that had a lot more character, complexity and soul.

Was a great smoke on the back patio with a drink

Great cigar, not the best, but enjoyment was there and was happy smoking it. Must try. The draw on mine was very good and burn perfectly. Smoked it after 6 months in my humidor, don’t know if it change something.

Good stick! Has found a spot in humidor

An okay smoke. Good draw, even burn. Taste was good, but not much to write home about. No plain packaging was nice. The current price is a little to steep for me ($13.95 as of writing), probably won’t buy again for that reason.

Tight draw, but ok. On the sharp side.

Had this in my humidor for a little over two months. For the first inch, the draw was a little tight and it started unraveling which I fixed by tearing up a small bit of the unraveled leaf. After that I got to 3/4 way and it stated unraveling again, which again I did a small fixed. The burn was good all the way, didn’t have to retouch it. The taste was great but got a little bitter near the end. I’ll have to see if the same goes with the others I have.

A nice, medium body smooth habano with a surprising amount of tooth all over the wrapper (nice!). I wasn’t having any draw issues as some others had reported, but the burn was uneven at times. First and second thirds are dominated by vanilla, cream, and spice. Lots of mellow earthiness throughout. This cigar has a fantastic aroma as well. It plays ok in its price point but is a great pickup on sale.
