Gurkha Cafe Tabac White Rascal Vanilla Robusto is a 5 x 52 Dominican made, vanilla infused robusto that pairs a smooth Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper with a Nicaraguan binder and Habano filler for a sweet, spicy profile built around rich vanilla. Designed as a flavourful twist on classic Gurkha construction, this medium strength cigar layers creamy vanilla with touches of caramel, honey, baking spice, and subtle citrus over naturally rich tobacco, creating an indulgent but balanced draw from start to finish. Handcrafted at PDR Cigars’ Blue Star factory, White Rascal Vanilla is positioned to pair with spirits or soft drinks and to offer a satisfying aromatic option for smokers who enjoy a clear vanilla character without overwhelming the underlying premium tobacco.

A nice mild cigar that was well constructed and paired nicely with my spiced rum. Burn was even with an easy draw. I would get another to pair with a craft stout that had coffee notes to see how the vanilla works with it.

Oooh! Lively, mild, and sweet, with a bit of spice. The vanilla is so warm and inviting, not at all cloying.
While I had my doubts about the flavouring, the White Rascal gets great reviews, so I took a chance. I got notes of warm vanilla, cinnamon, molasses, light tobacco, a tiny bit of pepper, and milk chocolate, with a most agreeable bitterness underneath, like dark-roasted coffee, to give it depth. The balance of flavours changed as I smoked, with the vanilla consistent throughout. Never harsh, and never fake, not even when it got too hot because I puffed too much. Even burn, lovely ash, easy draw. I’d recommend this to anyone, beginner or not, for a lighter yet still hefty and delicious smoke.
