Meet Joya Red, a new and exciting side of Joya de Nicaragua. Some might even call it unexpected. Developed for the modern smoker by the youngest executive team in the industry together with the most senior Master Blenders of Nicaragua. The result? A vibrant smoke you will enjoy anytime, anywhere.
This is a medium bodied cigar. The combination of these premium tobaccos from our beloved Nicaragua results in a balanced blend with medium strength and captivating flavors. Smooth nutty notes and hints of pepper.
Joya de Nicaragua Clásico was the very first national “Puro” exported from Nicaragua, and for a long time the only cigar in the Joya de Nicaragua portfolio.
About Joya de Nicaragua Cigars
Nicaraguan Strong
Spicy and Robust. Antaño, in Spanish, literally means “yesteryear”, a word that expresses the soul of the Joya de Nicaragua Antaño 1970. We crafted this cigar as a tribute to the power and essence of the “Puro” that helped build our legendary brand.
Made exclusively by hand and entirely of Nicaraguan harvested tobaccos, this cigar is an ultra robust spicy smoke with earthy finish, unbridled body and aroma, which showcases the authentic Nicaraguan “Puro”.

Good construction. First 2 inches couldnot keep lit, therefore partial combustion and bad taste. After about 2 inches the problem went away and the taste improved considerably. Medium strength, a typical Nicaraguan taste. The last half continued to improve on taste and I enjoyed it. This problem of not being able to keep the first few inches lit has become very typical lately and I don’t think its the fault of the cigar makers.

Just a great all around medium cigar. Well rolled with a steady draw, I’ve smoked several of them now and the consistency has been perfect. The last third gets into medium strong territory which I enjoy. I took a star off because of the price. If the Antano Grande Revserva is in stock at the same price point, it wins out over the Red every time.
