First Third: The cigar opened with a snug but workable draw, with cocoa and a sweet aroma from the foot. Right from the start, milk chocolate was the dominant flavor, accompanied by subtle natural sweetness and a slight creaminess. The retrohale was smooth, with chocolate coming through on the exhale. A light nuttiness began to develop, while the cigar remained smooth and approachable. The aroma from the tip was rich and pungent with dark chocolate.
Second Third: The milk chocolate became remarkably consistent and remained the dominant flavor. The cigar continued to have a slightly creamy character, with subtle sweetness and light nuttiness. A touch of spice joined the profile, adding some depth without becoming peppery. The retrohale stayed smooth with additional chocolate notes. A very subtle hint of vanilla, most noticeable around the mustache, also appeared.
Final Third: The cigar remained smooth and slightly creamy as it entered the final third, with milk chocolate still prominent. Nuttiness became more noticeable and began competing with the chocolate-milk character. As the cigar approached the end, espresso joined the profile, along with leather and some earth. These darker flavors added depth without completely overwhelming the chocolate, and even the final puff retained a hint of milk chocolate.
Overall: A very enjoyable, chocolate-forward cigar that delivered milk chocolate consistently through almost the entire smoke. The subtle creaminess, gentle sweetness, nuttiness, touch of spice and faint hint of vanilla complemented the chocolate beautifully, while the late espresso, leather and earth added depth to the finish. Excellent consistency and a very smooth retrohale throughout. The chocolate character was exactly what I look for in a cigar, although I would have enjoyed a little more sweetness.
