La Galera Maduro Pegador Corona Gorda cigars pair a dark Mexican San Andrés Maduro wrapper with estate grown Dominican tobaccos in an elegant 6 x 46 Corona Gorda format. Handcrafted by José “Jochy” Blanco at Tabacalera Palma in the Dominican Republic, this medium to full bodied cigar offers a longer, more wrapper focused expression of the La Galera Maduro blend.
The Mexican San Andrés Maduro wrapper provides a rich base of dark cocoa, roasted coffee, sweet earth and cinnamon spice. A Dominican Piloto Cubano binder adds structure and aromatic depth, while Dominican Piloto Cubano and Criollo ’98 long fillers contribute cedar, leather, toasted nuts and a creamy natural tobacco sweetness. Its slender 46 ring gauge highlights the dark wrapper’s character while maintaining a steady, smooth and balanced smoke.
The cigar opens with cinnamon, espresso and dark chocolate before developing leather, oakwood, earth and roasted nuts. Sweet cocoa, cedar and gentle pepper build through the middle, followed by a long finish of coffee, dark chocolate, spice and leather. La Galera Maduro Pegador Corona Gorda pairs well with espresso, aged rum, bourbon, a rich stout or a full bodied red wine.
