Oliva Connecticut Reserve Torpedo is a refined, smooth-smoking 6 1/2 x 52 cigar handmade in Nicaragua. Its tapered Torpedo head gives the smoker control over the draw, while the elegant Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade wrapper provides a silky texture and a mellow-to-medium profile that works especially well as a first cigar of the day or a relaxed afternoon smoke.
The blend combines an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper with a Nicaraguan binder and Nicaraguan long fillers. Expect a creamy core supported by cedar, light earth, toasted nuts, subtle pepper, sweet cream and a touch of natural tobacco sweetness. The wrapper keeps the profile soft and approachable, while the Nicaraguan tobaccos supply enough body and flavour to prevent it from feeling flat. Oliva lists the Connecticut Reserve as a medium-bodied line, though retailers commonly place this Torpedo in the mild-to-medium range.

The Oliva Connecticut Reserve is my favorite cigar of all time with its vanilla cake like flavor notes. Very creamy and sweet right down to the last draw. so good i never want to put it out. If it’s not in your budget go for Flor de oliva Gold which IMHO comes a very close second (See my review on it). Excellent construction as it is with all Oliva offerings.

For someone who leans towards Maduro cigars, this is my favourite Connecticut by a landslide. The absolute best mmild to medium cigar for me. Creamy, vanilla and perfect with a premium coffee. If I could afford it, this would be my daily morning stick.
