I was actually quite shocked, surprised and pleased with how excellent this cigar was. I only smoke Maduros. My go to Maduro from the humidor is the Macanudo Inspirado Black for it’s bold flavor. In comparison there are similarities, but this is a much more mild smoke. Something I can easily reach for from the humidor without thinking too much about it. That box pressed presentation is great, burn was perfect, taste right out the gate on the 1st third was good, 2nd third was even better with that dried raisin and the final 3rd was mostly nutty with a hint of dried fruit (fig) and burnt coffee taste. If you’re new to Maduros, I would say this is a great entry point. A solid smoke. Will definitely stock up.
