I’m new(ish) to cigars but this budget cigar was fantastic. Nutty, coffee and leather to the very finish and when I say finish I mean, I smoked it to less than an inch. I will definitely buy this one again.

A pleasant surprise. Easy draw. Good burn. I don’t think I cut it too close to the shoulder but wrapper started to unroll shortly after I sparked it up. I trimmed off the loose tail and it was good for the rest of the smoke. I bought two, so I’ll have to see how the second one goes. Aside from that, I think I’ll get some more.

For a $5 cigar, it performs and tastes like a $10 cigar. That pretty much sums it up.

Time: 35 minutes
Construction: Very good*
Flavor profile (subjective): Bitter vegetal, slight leather, prominent grass clippings, somewhat nutty; pretty even throughout.
Body: Medium-Full
Pairing: Bold whiskey (Johnnie Walker Black, etc), bourbon or cocktail; heavy red meat (t-bone steak, etc)
Relatively enjoyable during the smoke; the ash is loose and will fall off at the slightest tap or breeze just under an inch long. Burns mostly evenly, some uneven early, but have yet to experience one canoeing on me.
Binding is fine if you don’t cut too close to the shoulder*. Overall construction is quite nice.
The bigger issue is how much it stinks after you’re done smoking. It’s like sitting with a pile of weeds you uprooted and stacked, very vegetal scent; I can see how some people might find this somewhat enjoyable, but I haven’t met any yet.
Not to let anything go to waste, I typically remove bands and smoke my cigars until my fingers get hot holding it or the smoke is too hot to enjoy; that being said, with this cigar, I got a very distinct ‘glue’ flavor. I only hope they used an all natural cigar glue for the bands.
Post smoke flavor in the mouth is rather decent, though I’d recommend a quick water rinse for any loose tobacco you may have inhaled and for any ‘excess’ oils.
When would I recommend smoking these? Pretty much any time is suitable; while working in the garage, doing yard work, after a meal. But I’d recommend smoking them outside just for the post-smoke scent that lingers. I’m not sure what you could pair this with; Johnny Walker Black label comes to mind immediately, or another ‘classic’ whiskey or bourbon flavor. Perhaps a gin and tonic. (though, gin and tonic tastes like dirty gym socks to me, so bear that in mind)
Conclusion: There are better options. A cheap smoke good for any time, but nothing exciting or mind blowing, or even to brag about. Everything to be expected for the price range, with somewhat impressive construction.
