Plasencia Alma del Cielo Celeste

The Plasencia Alma del Cielo Celeste is a 4 7/8 x 52 Robusto made from tobacco grown at 1,300 metres above sea level on the Finca San Julián estate in Condega, which Plasencia calls the world’s highest elevation cigar. Alma del Cielo means “Soul of the Sky,” and the blend is a Nicaraguan puro, with wrapper, binder and filler all grown in Nicaragua. The high altitude gives a softer, sweeter profile than many Nicaraguan blends.

The smoke opens with creamy marzipan and honey, with a hint of nougat. Earthy notes then come in, with Spanish cedar and a touch of orange zest, and the finish adds a gentle baking spice with roasted coffee and nuts. The profile stays balanced and smooth from start to finish.

Celeste is the shortest of the three Alma del Cielo vitolas, so it concentrates the blend into a focused, steady smoke. It is hand rolled at the Plasencia factory in Nicaragua.
