The Plasencia Alma Fuerte Nestor IV is a box pressed 6 1/4 x 54 Toro made from aged Criollo ’98 tobaccos grown by the Plasencia family in four Nicaraguan regions: Estelí, Condega, Jalapa and Ometepe. A dark, oily Jalapa wrapper covers Nicaraguan binder and filler, so the cigar is a full Nicaraguan puro. Of the Alma Fuerte shapes, it is the traditional box press, unlike the hexagon Sixto or the Salomon.
The smoke starts with natural tobacco, cedar and earth, and a little cocoa sweetness. Dark chocolate, plum and cinnamon come through in the middle, with leather, cashew and red pepper spice, and the finish carries oak and molasses. Strength rises to medium to full in the second half, and the burn and draw stay even.
The 54 ring gauge produces generous, cool smoke. The box of 10 includes a removable piece that works as an ashtray, and each cigar is hand rolled with long filler at the Plasencia factory in Nicaragua.

This is the first box I have ever bought. Purchased 2 last summer, and then another 5, and now a box. This is a 2 hour smoke, and is full of delicious creamy notes of chocolate with a hint of spice and even citrus. A most enjoyable stick after a great meal.

These were my go to cigar but the price increase makes it no longer a good value . There are lots of other great sticks at a better price point than this . Glad i bought a cpl boxes before the price jump.
