The Plasencia Limited Edition Year of the Horse, officially named El Año del Caballo, is a bold, full-bodied cigar created in celebration of the 2026 Lunar New Year. This highly limited release is presented in a single 7 x 58 Parejo Gordo format, distinguished by an intricate braided tobacco tail that recalls a horse’s plaited mane.
An organically grown Nicaraguan wrapper from Jalapa surrounds a Nicaraguan binder and a carefully aged filler blend of Nicaraguan and Honduran tobaccos. The smoke opens with oak, earthy soil and warm cumin, then develops aromatic cardamom, dark coffee and toasted walnut. The finish is deep and lingering, with dark chocolate, dried prune, subtle peat and natural sweetness.
The Year of the Horse is presented in ornate 10-count boxes, with only 6,000 boxes produced. Its substantial size, detailed presentation and rich profile make it an exceptional option for collectors, gifting or a special-occasion smoke.
