Ramon Allones Specially Selected Cuban Cigars

Very good “Robusto” cigar, as good as those of the old times, maybe because we can still appreciate the perfectly balanced flavours of nuts, honey sweetness or herbal flavours.
About Ramon Allones
Ramon Allones, founded in 1837, was the first cigar manufacturer to decorate their boxes with labels pioneering the glorious packing tradition we know and enjoy today. Comprised of a blend of filler and binder leaves from the Vuelta Abajo zone, characterized by their intense and complex taste. Made using the Tripa Larga, Totalmente a Mano – long filler, totally hand made – method.

My favorite Cuban cigar is Ramon Allones Specially Selected Single. I know almost everyone likes the Cohiba the most, but for me, the Ramon are a bit smoother and has a nice even and long burn. The construction of the cigar is beautiful. The smoke is not too bold. It doesn’t have a huge bouquet of flavors at first light which I enjoy at times when I want to just have a mild smoke at first. It burns nice and evenly and half way to the end of the cigar shows a little more wood flavor that I find enjoyable.

Terrible Cigar, Not Much Flavor, poor construction

These cigars are a great bang for the buck compared to some much more expensive cigars. Smooth, burn well, taste and smell amazing.

I have had three of these resting in my humidor for a few months. I first smoked one in January. Enjoyed the classic Cuban experience. The construction was awful. It appeared to have an uneven pack and took regular correction. I smoked another one on the weekend thinking they needed to settle and had the exact same experience. For a $22 cigar it did not perform nearly up to my expectations. Pretty disappointed for the $. Won’t be doing that again.

A flavorful cigar, but it didn’t burn straight I always had to adjust it. It had a nice smooth pull but the fact that I had to either heat it up for a nice even burn or take a few quick pulls just to keep it lit was a tad bit annoying. For the price it’s not terrible but there are better options.

The cigar itself appears nice, burned well and had a great draw. Lots of smoke and good long ashes. I was not blown away with the overall taste of the cigar. Earthy coffee taste throughout. I was looking for more complexity as some reviews suggested but will smoke more of these in the future.
Cigar Chief did a good job with processing and delivery!

I’ve been smoking this robusto for years.
Great unique flavours, it powers up nicely the further into the smoke you get.
It’s never given me a reason to stop smoking it.

I recently had the pleasure of smoking the Ramon Allones Specially Selected Cuban Cigar and it was an amazing experience. The construction of the cigar was flawless, with a smooth, oily wrapper and an even burn throughout. The flavor was rich and complex, with notes of earth, leather, and spice that evolved beautifully throughout the smoke. The draw was perfect, with just the right amount of resistance to allow for a slow and leisurely smoke. This is truly a cigar for connoisseurs, and I would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys a premium smoke. Overall, an exceptional cigar that deserves every one of its five stars!
