Santa Clara 1830 Natural No. 4 delivers a classic 5 x 44 Mexican long filler blend with a Rosado San Andres natural wrapper for a smooth, mildly spicy profile that reflects Santa Clara’s patient tobacco aging tradition. Hand made in Veracruz, this No. 4 uses San Andres tobacco for wrapper, binder and filler, rolled to a traditional format that has become a favourite among smokers who appreciate balanced flavour over raw strength. Flavour starts with a fruity grassy character, then remains fruit forward with a grassy note through the middle, before finishing more robustly with that same fruity grass profile and a fine, dry white pepper edge. The 5 x 44 size offers an approachable medium body and a convenient duration, making this Natural No. 4 ideal for everyday sessions where you still want defined San Andres flavour without committing to a larger vitola.

This cigar surprised me. When I first lit it instead of getting a smooth taste as I usually get, I got an earthy taste which lingered on through the whole cigar. Bear in mind that it got a little stronger at the second third and a little bit bitter in the third which was still very smokable. The construction, the burn and the draw were excellent. Planning on buying more.

After trying a bunch of budget friendly cigars to not only see if I can find a great cigar but also as a beginner I wanted to check if I even like this hobby in the first place and boy do I LOVE this. I think I got a hint of chocolate and by the end it had a slight pepper feel but not much. I smoked this until I can no longer hold on to it. Good construction and touched it up once. I will definitely get more to confirm if this is my current favorite smoke and I have to look into Santa Clara’s other cigars!
