I can smoke this all day, very nice aroma and mild flavor , leaves no artificial flavor notes like the rum .

Like all of the Smoker’s Pride tobaccos, they need to be dried out a bit before smoking to eliminate excessive relights. This, along with the Cherry version, has become my favourite of the line, though. A rich undertone of chocolate is very noticeable, and it smokes well throughout the course of the pipe.
For those so inclined, it makes a very fine homemade “chew”, but needs a bit of burley for some “Vitamin N”. A pinch of SP Classic helps here. It’s burley based and is not intrusive to the flavour of the main tobacco in one part to six parts of the main fodder.
A **** rating is given rather than a 5, because the drying process affects the volume percentage of the tobacco by about 15%. Not the flavour, however.

Aroma is so pleasing, not too sweet, a little vanilla. It is rather moist. Took a portion out, left it to dry for a few hours a d it’s perfect. I’ll be purchasing this again.
I’m interested to mix the cherry with this also.

This is the best Black Cav value on the market. Great straight or as a mixer, this has a healthy dose of chocolate/cocoa flavor to go along with the vanilla. I did not find it too moist at all, A-typical aromatic moisture content. Outstanding and much better than many other expensive, high-end blends out there. Five full stars from the top to the bottom of the bowl.

Cigar Chief had great customer service, shipped fast, and came without any damage. The tobacco itself smells amazing and tastes mild and smooth with hints of sweetness. Almost a molasses or brown sugar taste! Very satisfying. Going to try blending it with the vanilla or cherry in the future. I will definitely order this again.

Fairly similar to my longtime fave, Lane Ltd. 1Q, but a whole lot less spendy than ordering the 1Q from the US now that nothing gets by our eagle-eyed customs agents.

I stumbled on a review of Smoker’s Pride which suggested it might be re-branded Lane, so I ordered the Smoker’s Pride BLack Cavendish. I was struck by the similaity to 1Q. Very pleasant, mild, with a pleasant room note that draws favourable comments. I’m on my second bag now . Ialso find the price very attractive. Will order more. Highly recommended.

A great smoke. My favourite of the Smoker’s Pride brands. It is moist so I do dry it a bit. I find the Cherry and Rum flavours quite strong but blended with the Black Cavendish makes them both much more palatable.

Been avoiding writing reviews since just getting back to smoking the pipe recently and don’t want to sound pretentious as I develop my pallet. Been trying several other blends and brands and wanted to try this for the extra value. Holy smokes. This burns clean, and right to the bottom of the bowl. Has such a pleasant rich flavor. I wondered if it was just the new pipe I’d ordered with this bag, but tried it on some of my other ones and it burns just the same. Smoking this tobacco is giving me the feeling of what I’d been hoping to experience from the other more expensive blends. Can’t wait to try the cherry or other varieties as well. Nice notes of chocolate that roll right through to the end. I dry mine out a little, as others have noted but that’s unavoidable with my setup. Still feeling it out, but hit on something good here!
