When I first saw these cigars on Cigar Chief, I was interested in finding an economical smoke for sitting on the balcony with a nice dram of Islay. I ordered a box of five to try out and enjoyed the first one last night. The cigar is as advertised, but with a delightfully long cap to allow for a decent cut. Upon handling the cigar one could tell that it was wrapped with skill and care, the leaf having a rough, almost suede like texture. A musky smell with hints of coffee and caramel greeted us as we opened the wrapper. The cut went very smoothly, a testament to the very well done wrap. The first draw while lighting them was clean, respectable, with no difficulty. The fist taste was of very strong maduro leaf, there was a delightful taste of spice and leather flooded the mouth with the first draw. The cigar mellowed slightly as it was smoked, with a bit of bitter peaty taste entering the fray, complimenting, the already distinct, pleasant spiciness. At the end of the cigar, which was a real finger burner, by the way, there was a hint of ashyness which was easily remedied by purging the stogie. It was finally laid to rest when it could no longer be held without burning the fingertips.
All in all, an excellent cigar for those who appreciate the stronger firesticks to partner with stronger, smokey drink.
I give it four of five stars for its amazing qualities at a very frugal price point. If maduros are your thing, pick a couple of these beauties up!

Real finger burner. I smoked one last night and it’s impressive how this budget cigar delivered! I found great balance and even transitions while smoking it. Leather apricot and fig taste. Not a ton of smoke, on the dry side but really smooth and mellow and a surprising last third. Overall construction is good, needed some touchup but for this price I will buy again.

A favourite, good quality, medium draw, even burn at a good price. Hope to see it in stock soon!

Very pleasantly surprised with this stick. They minor wrapper imperfections did not affect the nice, slow, even burn – no relighting. Enjoyable mellow maduro flavor, not over powering in any way. Definitely will order more.

A surprisingly nice cigar for the price. The cigar burned very well and steadily. The taste was strong for the first third, the second third the taste mellowed out, while the last third the flavour became stronger again, and a bit sweeter.
Had a bit of flow resistance while coming to the last third, but nothing a tiny poke with the tip of a pocket knife didn’t remedy.

Not bad, but… put one more dollar and buy a Flor de Oliva maduro (9$). You’ll have a better experience.
