AJ Fernandez New World Decenio Toro

Created to celebrate ten years of the New World line, AJ Fernandez New World Decenio Toro wraps a dark, oily Mexican San Andrés leaf around a Nicaraguan binder and a rich blend of Nicaraguan and Honduran long fillers. The wrapper has a toothy, slightly rustic texture and a deep, chocolate brown colour. Under the soft box pressed shape, the cigar feels full and substantial in the hand, and the earthy aroma from the foot hints at the richness to come.

The first draws open with dark cocoa, roasted coffee and leather, supported by a gentle sweetness from the San Andrés wrapper. As the cigar settles into the middle section, earthy tones and black pepper build in strength. Subtle hints of almond and toffee add contrast, keeping the profile layered and balanced from start to finish. The medium to full body is robust without being harsh, and the finish stays smooth, with lingering notes of espresso and spice.

Measuring 6 1/2 x 54, the AJ Fernandez New World Decenio Toro gives the blend time to develop without the very wide ring gauge of the Gordo. It is made at the San Lotano factory in Nicaragua, and it suits anyone who enjoys a dark, full flavoured cigar with plenty of complexity.
