Arturo Fuente FFOX Reserva d’Chateau is a full-bodied 7 x 48 Dominican Churchill from the legendary Fuente Fuente OpusX line. It is a Dominican puro—made with Dominican-grown wrapper, binder and filler tobacco—and is one of the line’s most admired long-format expressions.

The cigar is finished in the signature Dominican Sun Grown Rosado wrapper grown at Fuente’s Chateau de la Fuente estate in Bonao. The slender 48-ring gauge gives the wrapper a particularly prominent role, delivering the OpusX line’s recognizable aroma, natural sweetness and spice. Aged Dominican binder and filler tobaccos provide body, cedar, earth and leathery depth beneath the rich Rosado leaf.

Expect notes of cedar, leather, dark cocoa, roasted coffee, earth, cinnamon-like baking spice, dried fruit, natural sweetness and black pepper. The smoke opens with fragrant cedar, baking spice and a floral sweetness, then transitions into leather, coffee and cocoa. The final third becomes more earthy and peppery, with the Rosado wrapper maintaining a refined sweetness throughout.

The Reserva d’Chateau is best enjoyed as an attentive, unhurried special-occasion smoke. Pair it with aged rum, cognac, bourbon, añejo tequila, espresso, a porter, stout or a structured red wine. Its Churchill format typically provides a long, evolving smoking session.
