Arturo Fuente Rosado Sungrown Magnum R 56, also called the Vitola Fifty-Six, is a medium-to-full-bodied Dominican cigar in a substantial 5 5/8 x 56 Robusto Gordo format. It belongs to the Magnum R Rosado Sungrown line, which is built around Fuente’s rare, reddish-hued Ecuadorian Rosado wrapper leaf.

The wrapper is culled from the lower primings of Ecuadorian tobacco plants and aged for nearly a decade before use. This Ecuadorian Rosado Sungrown leaf gives the cigar its rich Colorado-red appearance, natural sweetness and refined spice. Beneath it are Dominican binder and filler tobaccos, creating a balanced Fuente profile that is creamy and smooth despite the cigar’s fuller flavour and wide 56-ring gauge.

Expect notes of cedar, toasted pecans, mocha, roasted coffee, cinnamon, dried fruit, maple sweetness, leather, cocoa, molasses and a restrained red-pepper finish. The smoke opens with sweet cedar and cinnamon, then develops roasted nuts, coffee and dried-fruit character. The final third adds deeper leather, cocoa and pepper while maintaining the wrapper’s distinctive sweetness.
