About Backwoods Cigars
Are they made in the Dominican Republic or have they been rolled by a Cowboy in the wild west?
The truth is they are made in the Dominican Republic using quality tobacco, which has been aged for a minimum of 12 months to bring out the natural sweetness before the leaves have been enhanced with a sweet flavoring.
The Backwoods cigars were introduced nationally in 1981 and were an overnight success. Their unique structure and look – “WILD & MILD” as it was called, with a frayed end, tapered body and unfinished head, had great appeal to cigar smokers.
Many modern cigars are rolled to a very refined and specific shape, which often compresses the tobacco unevenly across the cigar. The Backwoods are rolled loosely using an even pressure, which results in a rustic looking cigar but draws easily and evenly packing plenty of flavor.

I have not tasted the flavoured ones and will never do. It is the existence of these flavours that might give that excellent cigar a negative image for us “real” cigar affections dos.
So for starters, yes this machine rolled with cut filler and a binder. No wrapper, this the rustic look. But put your prejudice on the side and you will realize this is a very ..very…very good small cigar! It is a 20 minutes smoke when you need a 20 minutes smoke. Excellent flavor, you feel the tobacco quality at every puff. Yes leftovers, but great quality ones. Oozes of spice in every draw. Excellent

The definitive workers cigar. It tastes great, has a smooth feel, and is a nice balance between a cigarillo and a full sized cigar. This is a safe choice for a “go to” cigar.

I’m not an aficionado by any means and just getting into the sport. I prefer a short smoke and decided I would try the least expensive cigar on this site. As a beginner I am quite satisfied with the flavor of these original taste cigars. Not sure I would like anything flavored so I am going to stick to these. They’re a bit rough looking and you get some tobacco in your mouth with most draws but overall they were enjoyable especially for the price.

I enjoy my small cigars. My favorite is probably Romeo and Julieta. But they are way too f****** expensive lol. I buy these for a friend of mine, but I prefer the honey flavor. They’re absolutely delicious. They’re kind of moist. Now if you’re old looking to roll an old school style. Blunt get the honey backwoods because the cigar leaf that’s around that thing comes apart easy and stays in one piece and you can re-wrap it real easy. It is by far the best cigar you can buy to make a blunt out of. Cheers
