Part of Cohiba’s Linea 1492 that commemorated the 500th Anniversary of Columbus’s arrival in Cuba. The leaves for Cohibas are the “selection of the selection” from the 5 finest Vegas de Primera (first class fields) in the Vuelta Abajo region. These leaves undergo an additional fermentation in barrels. This unique process produces a special aroma and flavour you will only find in a Cohiba. Made using the traditional Tripa Larga, Totalmente a Mano – long filler, totally hand made – technique.

Cohiba is made from the “selection of the selection” of the best leaves of the tobacco plantations of San Juan y Martínez * (D.O.P) y San Luis * (D.O.P) areas in the Vuelta Abajo * (D.O.P) zone, the additional fermentation of the “ Seco ” and “ Ligero ” leaves provide unique aroma and flavour. The Cohiba Siglo II is a delight. It’s medium-strong bodied, with a good draw and plumes of smoke. This particular size is a pleasure to hold, and will satisfy the most discerning cigar fan.

The perfect medium body cigar. Delicious fresh tobacco aroma. No pepper. Low strength, no nicotine rush. Perfect draw. Minor touch ups with my torch. Moderate smoke output. Even my girlfriend liked this cigar.

Not on the top of my list for Cigars or Cuban Cigars for that matter. It was a good smoke just want for me, the draw was good along with the burn, vary unique flavours.

Cuban cigars are not what they used to be. Cohiba is no different. As someone who has been smoking for 30 years and remembers a different Cuba, the terroir and management of it have drastically changed the Cuban flavour profile. Max points for construction and burn, still a well made and physically performing product.

Great cigar, very nice flavours, very Cuban taste, burnt without any issues and had me wanting more to put in the humidor.

What a colossal disappointment. Over-rated and boring. I prefer maduros and Nicaraguan so take this review as such, but burn was meh, flavor was weak, construction was not high end and it didnt last long enough to save it from being a regret.

A phenomenal smoke.
Notes of: orange peel, honey suckle, peanut and a hint of white pepper that slowly develops and matures towards the end of this wonderful Corona. It really is a very special cigar…..
But is it worth $50?! No, I don’t think so.

This cigar suffers from some very concerning construction issues which, at $50, is completely unacceptable.
The draw was very poor, and only really became possible to get anything of value in the last 3rd. It was still bad.
Overall a shameful experience from which I will be unlikely to purchase or recommend Cohiba.
