Crowned Heads Jericho Hill OBS is a Medium to Full 4 3/4 x 52 cigar with a Mexican San Andrés wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and filler. It is the compact Robusto of the Jericho Hill series, a softly pressed cigar with a dark, matte wrapper.
Sweet first puffs deliver cocoa powder and almond paste notes, and the finish is heavy and earthy. Cigar Aficionado rated it 89 points. The smoke is a full throttle experience that races across the palate with power, intensity and excitement.
Jericho Hill was inspired by Johnny Cash’s rendition of “Cocaine Blues” on the 1968 live album “At Folsom Prison”, and its vitola names come from lyrics and music on that album. Jericho Hill marks the fourth regular production release from Crowned Heads, and the four vitola names, .44S, LBV, OBS and Willy Lee, take on a lyrical element when recited from smallest to largest.
At Medium to Full strength, Crowned Heads Jericho Hill OBS suits smokers who enjoy a bolder cigar in a compact size. It is a straightforward cigar that is simple to appreciate, with a consistent burn and a draw that stays comfortable from start to finish, which makes it a reliable pick for newer smokers and seasoned enthusiasts alike.
