Handcrafted by José “Jochy” Blanco in the Dominican Republic, this medium to full bodied 5 x 50 Robusto has a classic square box pressed shape, an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, Dominican Criollo ’98 binder and Dominican Piloto Cubano and Criollo ’98 long fillers.
The dark Ecuadorian Habano wrapper brings cedar, cocoa, tangy wood and black pepper to the profile. Dominican Criollo ’98 binder adds earthy structure and aromatic depth, while Piloto Cubano and Criollo ’98 fillers contribute espresso, leather, dried fruit and a sweet tobacco core. The compact Robusto format concentrates the blend’s spice, earth and coffee character while the box pressed shape supports a controlled draw and even combustion.
The cigar begins with cocoa, cedar, earth and red pepper before developing leather, dried fruit, sweet tobacco and subtle anise. Espresso becomes more prominent through the middle, joined by light citrus and caramel sweetness, before a long finish of oakwood, earth, coffee and licorice.
