La Galera Imperial Jade Robusto cigars feature a genuine African Cameroon wrapper, a rare leaf chosen by master blender José “Jochy” Blanco for its distinctive sweetness and spice. Handcrafted at Tabacalera Palma in the Dominican Republic, this medium bodied 5 1/2 x 50 Robusto uses a Dominican Criollo binder with Dominican Piloto Cubano and Criollo 98 long fillers.
The authentic Cameroon wrapper gives the blend its aromatic cedar, toast, natural sweetness and peppery character. Dominican Criollo binder tobacco from the Jacagua farm adds structure and earthy spice, while Piloto Cubano and Criollo 98 fillers contribute cream, leather, roasted nuts and a smooth tobacco core. The result is a refined Cameroon wrapped cigar with balanced complexity and a rich, creamy texture.
The cigar begins with toast, cedar, citrus and red pepper before developing wood, leather, herbal tea and roasted nuts. A creamy sweetness emerges through the middle alongside gentle earth and baking spice, while the pepper note remains present but controlled. La Galera Imperial Jade Robusto pairs well with espresso, aged rum, bourbon, a Belgian style ale or a smooth single malt Scotch whisky.

It gave the flavor of of a very smooth black coffee pretty much through the entire cigar ,I absolutely enjoyed this one.

2 out 3 sticks I purchased tunneled. I cut them down after it went out, and the tunneling was very evident. First, the filler bunch was packed too loose at the core. Second, the Cameroon wrapper was thin and dry compared to La Aurora 1903, the benchmark for Cameroon wrappers.
Beyond the construction flaws, I don’t think the blend works. I want an oily Cameroon with sweetness, roast nuts and cocoa, but this one is dry, toasty and honestly overshadowed by the binder and filler. The binder and filler works much better with the La Galera 1936.
This is not the Cameroon you are looking for.
