About Perla Del Mar Cigars
Perla del Mar cigars were first conceived in the late 19th Century to honor Cuba’s highly acclaimed cigar heritage. Because Cuba’s rich, fertile soil formerly created the most flavorful cigar tobacco in the world, Cuba was known as the Pearl of the Sea. Now, more than a century later, J.C. Newman Cigar Co. has recreated Perla del Mar, handmade in the J.C. Newman PENSA cigar factory in Estelí, Nicaragua. Today’s Perla del Mar is a rich and flavorful tribute to its original Cuban blend.
Perla del Mar features special, hand-selected, aged binder and long filler tobaccos from three distinct regions in the lush mountains of Nicaragua. This unique blend is combined with a smooth, creamy Ecuadorian Shade or hardy Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper to provide a complex, but balanced, taste. Lastly, Perla del Mar cigars are box pressed to help the natural flavors of its unique tobaccos to marry together and deliver an extremely satisfying smoke.

Good everyday cigar. It’s not a complex cigar, but the notes are constant. I smoked 5 of them and no construction issue, the draw was nice, a good creamy smoke and flavours that I got was walnut, cedar, coffee, white pepper, little bit of earth and leather.
Good pairing with a whiskey or a coffee.
Give it a try 🙂

A balanced budget stick with woodsy notes on the palate and red pepper on the retro being the predominant flavors. Settles in nicely after the first half inch. Not too spicy. Not too leathery. Chocolate, coconut and cinnamon fleet around. Great draw, great burn and a great price. You’ll wish it kept going.

I agree with all the other reviews, it’s a good smoke. Good draw and burn, nice taste (though the last third was a bit harsh). The original band was under the plain one, too. Fair asking price ($11.29 as of writing), I’ll probably buy some more in the future.
