Captain Black Pipe Tobacco Original White Blend
Pouches of 42.5 grams; carton of 5 pouches.
Loose cut tobacco; a sweet taste with hints of vanilla. Delightfully aromatic
Rick Black Cavendish tobaccos, steamed to seal in the flavor and character of the leaf. To this, mellow Burleys and Golden Virginias are added for mildness and depth of flavor.

It’s ok. Nothing to write home about. Mild and smooth with a hint of sweetness.

I love the mild, smooth, sweet taste. But there’s a little more residue mess in the pipe afterwards due to the damp tobacco.

I totally agree with Vincent Richardson, it’s nothing to write home about ! It’s mild, it burns well, no bite on the tongue with no aroma or flavor that stands out. I mixed it with a little bit of the Captain’s Cherry tobacco to give it a little more “personality”. It’s a good tobacco to use as a filler to combine with an other stronger tasting one like Captain Black Dark or Cherry.

I agree with the other reviews… Capt Black Original is ok to good pending my mood. It was 1 of my 1st tobaccos 45 years ago… still gets into rotation for nostalgia

I have been smoking Captain Black tobacco for over 20 years. In recent years, the quality has become very inconsistent—one batch is acceptable, the next has almost no aroma or flavor. Over the past three months, it has changed even more and feels stale, with weaker taste and smell every time I order. Each new purchase seems worse than the previous one, yet the price keeps increasing. In Canada, it is more expensive and lower in quality than anywhere else. The same tobacco I used to buy from the U.S. was about one-fifth the price and far better in quality. I don’t know what policy is behind this, but the quality keeps declining while the price keeps rising.
