Five Brothers Burley contains 100% air cured Burley in an extra fine shag cut, offering an unflavoured tobacco blend with high nicotine strength.
Earthy, nutty and woody notes define its straightforward flavour profile. The medium to full bodied character keeps the emphasis on Burley rather than added flavouring.
The fine, birdseye style strands have a dry, crisp texture that lights readily and burns quickly. Careful tamping helps maintain an even burn, though occasional relighting may be needed.
Five Brothers Burley is suited to experienced pipe smokers seeking a strong, uncomplicated blend. Each carton contains five 35.4 g pouches, with each pouch equivalent to approximately 1.25 oz.

I’m glad to see Cigar Chief stocking 5 Brothers. For those who’ve never had it, its a straight shag cut burley with minimal if any added flavoring, it’s also very high in Vitamin N. Great in a smaller pipe with a cup of black coffee if you need something to really kick start your morning. It is also a great mixer for lighter weight aromatics like the Captain Black or Smoker’s Pride lines if you want to add some strength to them. It will readily absorb any flavoured pipe tobacco you mix it in with out altering the taste, but will up the strength and body noticeably. It’s a classic in its own right as long as you know what to expect, double chocolate truffles or cherry cordial this is not.

Great simple and potent tobacco. I mix it with sail authentic and a little bit of black cavendish and its really good. I will buy back

I wanted a pipe tobacco with no added flavoring and some strength. This is it, a very slight background sweetness comes through and no tongue bite. A simple straight forward smoke with a price I can afford. Love it!

Strong tobacco, that’s what I wanted and that’s what I got. The taste by itself is not bad, great with a little black cavendish.

This is not an easy smoke. You fight with it. It is somewhat one dimensional. But in a strange way I really enjoyed it. I will most definitely be getting this again. As others have suggested. Packet tight, have it with a full stomach. Also have something sweet nearby just in case.
